My name is Tran Thi Thanh Hoa, I come from Thai Binh – a small province of Vietnam. This is a land rich with rice fields. I love my homeland with gentle, kind and brave people. Since childhood, I have been passionate about painting. It is the scenery and people of my hometown that nurture my dreams and are the inspiration for most of my works. Especially, I like to draw about Thai Binh woman from my hometown – the rice land known as “Sister Hai Nam Tan” of Vietnam. They are not only kind, simple, hard-working people, … but they are also silent heroes in life. There are so many emotions I can’t put into words but you can see in my artwork.

I draw what I see and feel around me from very simple, light, and pure things, simple and familiar natural images where I pass, especially some of the landscape paintings in the area. I passed like: “Spring on Nam Dam village”; ” Peaceful”; “Spring in the high mountains”…. Pictures of the people and ancient architecture of my hometown such as: traditional Ao Dai fervently in the wind, graceful cheo dances and costumes in tangy tunics, images of Keo pagoda, An Co communal house, village gate . Even small things make me flutter like: kingfisher bird, dragonfly, lotus flower, apricot flower, humpback rice tree, flower tree… “; “The lotus girls”; “The season change”; ” Where love begins “; ” Desire”; ” Childhoods”…

   Although each painting is a moment filled with different emotions, each of my works wants to give viewers good meanings to relieve the worries and pressures of life. I am happy to draw what is familiar and even more proud to be able to introduce those images to friends around the world. I hope for a long-term connection, a strong love to have more opportunities to bring my work – my brain children to fly high, fly further.

With my painting works, I always uphold my sense of responsibility, clearly aware of my position and role in the path of spreading the quintessential values of spiritual life. Through those paintings, direct people to the beautiful aesthetic and humanistic values with a closer and more serene world.

As an elementary school art teacher, every day I come into contact with the colorful world of children, the love of children and art in me is like a fire that is lit with more light. I really feel happy before the simple things in front of me: They are funny drawings of students, confiding in pictures of children…

If I say: “Happiness is the state of a human being when a certain need is satisfied, doing the things he likes, being shared and loved”, then I think I am happy. Life is a colorful picture. I don’t choose my own color, but every moment that makes me flutter in life leaves imprints of color on each picture. I use basic colors: red, yellow, blue and innocently mixed. mix them like children. I am fascinated by daily contact with students with the pure innocence and innocence that is evident in my works.
